Tenor Taylor Stayton makes his Professional Operatic Debut on Saturday, January 23, 2010 as Fenton in a new Franco Zeffirelli production of Verdi's Falstaff with the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma in an astonishing cast led by Renato Bruson as Falstaff, Carlos Alvarez as Ford, and conducted by Asher Fisch. During the 7-performance run scheduled for January 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, Mr. Stayton will also sing with such leading singers as Juan Pons, Ruggero Raimondi, Myrtò Papatanasiu, Laura Giordano, and Elisabetta Fiorillo.Later this season, Mr. Stayton will make his American operatic debut as Osiride in Rossini's Mosé in Egitto with Chicago Opera Theater with performances on April 17, 21, 23, and 25, 2010.
