Accomplished bass-baritone Jeffrey Wells has joined Neil Funkhouser Artists Management and will be represented by the company worldwide, effective immediately. Mr. Wells has sung close to 400 performances at the Metropolitan Opera, including Ferrando in Il trovatore, Colline in La bohème, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Escamillo in Carmen, and Capulet in Roméo et Juliette. Mr. Wells has appeared with all of the major companies in the United States, and is a particular favorite at Washington National Opera and San Francisco Opera. Additionally, Mr. Wells has sung Nick Shadow in The Rake's Progress at the Glyndebourne Festival and the role of Claggart in Billy Budd with the opera companies of Seattle, Los Angeles, Houston, Canada (Canadian Opera Company), and Israel (New Israeli Opera).
