Neil Funkhouser Artists Management is very excited to announce that legendary soprano Evelyn Lear has joined our roster, where the company will represent her for masterclasses and narrations. Miss Lear, in the midst of a career spanning over 50 years, has sung in virtually every major opera house in the United States and abroad. As an educator, she has hosted masterclasses at many of the most important programs for young artists, including: San Francisco Opera, Washington National Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Amsterdam Conservatory of Music, and Music Academy of the West.
Miss Lear frequently serves as a judge for many important vocal competitions, and heads the Thomas Stewart and Evelyn Lear Emerging Singers Program at the Wagner Society of Washington, D.C.
